“And Jesus said to him, ‘Go your way; your faith has made you well.’ And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.” (Mark 10:52)
As I read this today, I found it interesting that Jesus said, “…your way,” knowing that the formerly blind man would choose to follow him.
I realize more and more that the only reason humans exist is to experience God. Your life was designed by God who alone knows the true path to experiencing life. If by reason you discover that life exists only through God, then I must point you to Jesus. “No one comes to the Father except through me.”
It’s amazing to me how time and time again I cease believing that the abundant life is found in Christ alone and try to experience pleasure, fulfillment, and rest in things of this world. But Jesus says it is “your way.” When we become Christians, God not only changes who we are, but he changes our desires. Our definition of fulfillment changes in the process so that our way has become Christ's way.
"In him we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28 a)
