Everything moves at a slower pace on the south side. By the time you leave the cultural center, it’ll probably be close to lunchtime. And you’ll know it’s lunchtime when you smell meat cooking in a giant smoker outside Findlay’s Butcher Shop. Stop by for great lunch special and some of the best beef brisket in town. If you’re really hungry, go for the whole smoked chicken (only $5.99) or a full rack of baby back ribs. It’s a family-run restaurant, co-owned by whom else but the wonderful Mr. and Mrs. Findlay.
Hours: Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
