How do you pronouce Veritas?
Although it's a matter of great dispute, we stick with "VAIR-IH-TOSS."
How can I get involved with Veritas?
Tell everyone you know about it! Also, Veritas is always looking for writers, designers, photographers, and people to join a street marketing team. If you’re interested in helping us out, click here to download an application that you can fill out and submit. Churches and individuals can join the Veritas Support Alliance to receive promotional materials and a monthly newsletter.
Is Veritas hiring?
Veritas doesn’t currently have the ability to offer any paid positions. All work is on a volunteer basis including internships for students. Click here to contact us.
Is Veritas affiliated with a specific church?
No, we are part of Verismo Media Group —a faith-based, non-profit media company that we formed in 2007. It's not affiliated with any church or denomination.
Is Veritas affiliated with other media outlets?
We are only affiliated with Verismo Media Group, a local, independent media outlet.
Do you accept local advertising on Veritas?
Yes. We have local advertising rates based on contracts for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. Please e-mail advertising@veritasmag.com for more information.
How are you funded?
We are supported by advertising and generosity of individual supportors.
Can I donate to Veritas?
Why, thanks for asking! Yes, Veritas is only made possible by the generous support of people like you. As a non-profit, we work with a volunteer staff and limited resources.
Are gifts tax deductible?
Unfortunately, not at this time. The application to gain 501(c)3 status costs $800, so we are in the process of raising the money to apply.
I saw one of your brochures and the printing was beautiful. Who did that?
Christian Printers. (No, we’re not joking. That’s what it’s actually called.) The owner generously donated all the printing for our promotional materials because he supports our mission. Thanks, Bob!
Your website is great. Who did that?
Matt, our art director, works for a company in Urbandale called Webspec Design. His boss, Jeremiah Terhark, and other co-workers donated time and resources to get the site up and running.
Have you thought about publishing a print magazine?
Yes, we hope to offer a print magazine someday in the future. But with the cost of printing, we don’t have the budget to pay for it at this time. (Just inherit $10,000? Feel free to sponsor our first issue!)
How can I know for sure that I’m going to heaven?
Jesus, baby! (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9) Want to know more? Click here.
