I didn't think my sister Rachel would get married before me, but I couldn't be happier that she is. Her fiance Ryne is a great guy, and I'm sure they will be awesome together.
I would like to think that I can take some credit for it all since I did pray for a handsome, godly man to ride through North Dakota on horseback and sweep her away. But I've gotta' give props to the Lord for coming through (minus the horse that is).
Tonight Allie and I are flying back to my hometown to take it all in. I'm sure the weekend will zip by quickly, so I've been thinking about how I can make the experience count. How can I best serve my family? How can I be a loving big brother/brother-in-law? I want to be ready to see God's hand at work. I want to make these few days count for Jesus. After all, he did invent the institution. Whatever happens, I'm pumped.
Song of Solomon 8:6
Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grace.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.
